We launched our brand and concept with the opening in November 2004 of our Covent Garden store.
Elliot Rhodes is a concept created out of a passion for belts. We believe that a belt is not only a vital accessory but also a highly personal one. Our goal is to elevate the status of the belt from being an afterthought to being a key to dressing with taste, elegance, style and individuality.
Our aim is simple - to help our customers find a belt strap that suits whatever outfit they may choose to wear and then, to help them find one or more buckles that can make that belt as versatile as possible and above all a truly individual piece created for them alone.
Our unique interchangeable system allows the customer to switch buckles at will, giving them the option to continually modify their belt to suit any number of different occasions.
As you would also expect of a specialist store, all of our belts are custom fitted to ensure a precise fit. We make any alterations while you wait so that you can walk away with a belt that fits exactly as it
should.

All of our belts are handcrafted in Italy and Spain using traditional beltmaking techniques. Most people would be surprised to learn that making a belt is quite complicated and involves more than 12 different processes. All of our belts are made using a Full Grain leather quality.
This means that we use the best part of the calf skin thus maintaining the finest attributes of the leather, most notably the grain. The tanning of full grain leather ensures consistency of colour and texture over many years as well as durability.
In addition we also carry a wide range of belts maade from exotic skins such as Python, Ostrich and Crocodile.

Our full range comprises over 200 belt straps and over 800 buckles. Our belt range comprises belts of all widths with an emphasis on belts and buckles that are stylishly fashionable. Our aim is to dress our customers for both work and play.
All of our belt and buckle designs are produced in small quantities. This ensures that our products are of limited edition and in many cases one offs. We prefer to continually try new designs whenever we feel inspired (which is rather often!) which ensures that for our regular customers there is always something new to see!
Buckle making remains a highly artisanal trade with a great deal of human skill involved. Original designs are sculpted by hand in brass before finally being turned into a mould for production purposes.
More ornate buckles in particular have to have any enamels, crystals and special finishes hand applied. All of this helps give each buckle character and individuality and this of course is what is so appealing and can make buckle collecting so addictive! Our bukles are made principally in Italy, France, Spain, UK, USA and Mexico.
